This year I asked for several knitting items for Christmas and I got more than expected! My husband bought way too much, as always. I told him I'd like Last Minute Knitted Gifts, Weekend Knitting, OR Socks, Socks, Socks. I got all three. I also wanted to read the Maggie Sefton knitting mysteries. I was thinking I'd get the first in the series. He got all three. He then bought me three more Moleskeine notebooks to use as knitting journals. My other one was full! He also got me an MP3 player! I consider this a knitting gift because I can listen while I knit. I received two pairs of Lantern Moon needles. I can't wait to try them out. They are so smooth!
I got two gift certificates to my local yarn shop, Gourmet Yarn Co. I stopped by the day after Christmas - I couldn't wait - and picked up the following:
I needed some wool wash so I picked up the Brown Sheep shampoo. I hope I like it! Then I scored a ball of Rowan kid classic at 25% off. I think I'll make a pair of wrist warmers with them - the pattern from LMKG. Then, after debating for about 20 minutes, I picked out this skein of Schaeffer Anne sock yarn. Isn't it lovely? I think I'll make Cookie's Monkey socks from the Winter Knitty. I cast on for Pomatomus in the other skein of Anne I had in the stash and so far, it's looking lovely. I won't show you a picture, because officially, I haven't started them yet. I'm working fast and furious on the two Christmas items I didn't finish - really I am. See over there in the sidebar? I'm not done. Half a fuzzy foot to go for Mom and half a sock for Dad. I'll get them done soon. I have so much I want to start right now that I just can't justify casting on for more than one new project! (nice logic, huh?)
