I’ve finished two pairs of socks in the last week! The first pair is Sunday Swing and it was such an easy and quick knit. The second pair was Devon which I’ve had on the needles since October.
Pattern: Sunday Swing by Kristel Nyberg from the Summer 2009 Knitty.
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Multi in the Beverly colorway.
Needles: Size 2.25mm/US 1 DPN’s
Cast On: April 4th, 2010
Finished: April 11th, 2010
Modifications: I changed the heel to an Eye of Partridge heel.
Thoughts: I LOVE this pattern! It was easy to memorize and just flew by. I haven’t finished a pair of socks this quickly in a very long time. I think it looks great in this yarn too!
Pattern: Devon by Cookie A. from Sock Innovation
Yarn: Kraemer Sterling Silk and Silver (63% Superwash Merino, 20% Silk, 15% Nylon and 2% real silver fibers)
Needles: 2.25mm/US 1 DPN’s
Cast On: October 2009
Finished: April 17, 2010
Thoughts: I LOVE this pattern. Cookie is, of course, a genius. At first, I relied heavily on the pattern, frequently getting lost, but by the second sock, I was comfortable with the pattern and just looked at it for verification. The yarn is so sparkly and pretty! It’s hard to see the sparkle in the above picture. Let’s try again:
Now, what next? I’ve got several things on the needles right now, but nothing is speaking to me. I’ll have to think about it for awhile!
Tiger is going to think about it too.
