Soon, I am going to have my Rose Colored Glasses Socks pattern listed on Knit Picks site as part of the Independent Designers’ Program. I’m very excited to be included and hope to have more patterns listed with them as I love their yarn and whole concept!
Well, as I was knitting the second of the sample socks, I realized that I’d made an error in one of the cables. Naturally, it wasn’t just a few rows back, but was instead at the very beginning of the sock! I was already past the heel and was starting to worry about meeting the deadline. People in my knitting group told me that I would have to just rip it out. NO! I can fix it! And I did…
First, the mistake:
Can’t tell? Here…
The cable on the left does not swoop properly. It makes a little funny jog ad then starts swooping the same direction as the right side. They are supposed to be symmetrical. See how far up that mistake is? Ugh.
So, I braved it and dropped down the three stitches that would be involved. Brace yourself for the next picture:
after dropping down, I picked up the three stitches on one needle and started working my way up, catching the loops to work each row. It really didn’t take too long, although I did have to drop back about 10 rows at one point to pickup a missed loop.
All finished!
Still can’t tell? (It’s a little hard to see the pattern with this yarn.) Here you go!
All better. See? It can be done!
Tiger says, “Who cares about your socks! Gimmee some of this food!”
Poor starving Tiger!! ;-) Job well done Beverly!

Congratulations on getting you pattern included in Knitpicks!
But I think I'm even more impressed by how you fixed the cable. That was VERY brave!
